Pi Kappa Phi was originally chartered at the University of Kentucky October 26, 1996.

The Eta Tau chapter was rechartered on April 10th, 2010,

and most recently on April 13th, 2024. 

​

Since our recharter in April of 2024, we have seen exceptional growth in chapter size, quality, and active participation. Our chapter currently has 107 active members and has displayed high new-member retention rates through the recruitment and pledging processes.

​

Eta Tau has already gained prestigious recognition from the UK Interfraternity Council, as we were awarded the Dean's Cup for Remarkable Development at the 2024-25 Fraternity & Sorority Life Awards. We have also earned recognition from our national chapter as Eta Tau was selected for the Founders' Award at the 2026 Pi Kappa Phi College in Dallas, Texas. Former Eta Tau Vice Archon, Declan Hays, was also awarded the Vice Archon of the Year.
